A Gallery of Stories: Live Storytelling and Musical Concert!

A storytelling tribute to launch the ‘Art and Culture in the Hall’ exhibit, showing from June to November, at the City of Oshawa, and honouring the life and legacy of Dr. B. George Blake, founder of Durham Storytellers. The concert will focus on the storytelling movement in Durham Region, which George started in 1990, and will include original Durham Storytellers elders Marg Kropf, Micki Beck, Ron Getz and Sher Leetooze. Music by Afiwi Groove djembe youth drummers, and award winning fiddler, Emily Yarascavitch.
In partnership with the Oshawa Public Libraries, City of Oshawa, Robert McLaughlin Gallery and Durham Storytellers. (Suggested donation). All ages.
